Trauma affects our students, teachers, and schools in multiple ways
It is critical that deliberate actions are in force that are proactive, practical, aligned to the strategic vision, needs and assessment of the school campuses to ensure safety. Trauma affects everyone and the skills, systems and support that are embedded seamlessly will greatly affect the outcomes that affect our classrooms, our campuses, and our communities. This T3 Certification Course will be a pivotal process for campuses and districts who strive to be exemplary in trauma readiness.
What T3 Covers
This T3 Certification course will take participants through three specific modules to ensure that school teams utilize resources to facilitate a customized plan of action to be Trauma Ready.
Trauma Aware
- The first module of this course will focus on “Trauma Awareness”. This module provides information on the types of traumas and their affects on our students. It also broadens the learner’s perspective of these through both a personal and professional lens to build a common language and vision around trauma and the implications for each campus.
Trauma Skilled
- The second module will center on the heart of the campus, the classroom, as a catalyst for change. Practical applications, as well as easily implementable systems and structures will be tailored around the ProSocial™ classroom. New learning will help to build sustainable and intentional practices and for the learner to become “Trauma Skilled”.
Trauma Ready
- The third module will move schools from theory to action through consideration of strategic implications for entire campuses or districts to ensure readiness and responsiveness for traumatic events. Participants will learn about the critical components needed to develop and implement a well-thought out and comprehensive plan of action to ensure that they are “Trauma Ready”.
